About Jeff Gissing
Hi, I’m Jeff Gissing. I was born in Cyprus and raised in the United Kingdom. I moved to suburban Las Vegas in my teens. Since then I’ve lived in Alabama, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. I’m a Presbyterian pastor and writer. I live in Wheaton with my wife and kids.
It’s a great way to discover curated content about the academy and culture as well as new and important titles from IVP Academic and other academic publishers.
My prior ministry experience includes serving as a campus minister, area director, and large church associate pastor.
I studied religion and philosophy at Samford University (B.A., thesis on teleological ethics), received the Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School, and completed additional studies (toward a Th.M.) in church history at Westminster Theological Seminary. I’ve also taken additional research at Tyndale House, Cambridge.
